- Abstract
The development of 5G networks technology revolutionizes satellite networks. Satellite networks should satisfy the requirements for next generation hybrid Satellite-5G networks. This article first discusses several key issues in next generation satellite networks toward 5G. Then we present an overview of next generation hybrid Satellite-5G networks, followed by an introduction to a typical application scenario. Moreover, we propose a space segment design for the proposed hybrid Satellite-5G networks.
