- Abstract
The importance of acquiring terrestrial satellite images for a country is a priority since these images can have different uses such as agriculture, military, cartography, border control, etc. Therefore, for a developing country such as Bolivia, obtaining such images is a fundamental issue for its economic growth. According to studies carried out by the Bolivian government, the greatest use of satellite images could occur in agriculture, since it is the fastest growing sector in the country. For this reason, this work is focused on the study of the type of satellite images that would be most useful for the field of agriculture, as well as the cost of them. Due to the development of nanosatellites both in components and in the applications they currently have, these types of satellites are the ones chosen for the acquisition of terrestrial satellite images for their cheaper price than satellite images obtained by other types of satellites commonly used. nowadays. This work identifies the type of images that would be most useful in the field of agriculture in Bolivia (panchromatic, infrared, near infrared, multispectral, etc). as well as selecting the nanosatellites that can provide these images, taking into account the price of said images, the time of revisit them on the Bolivian territory.
