    Abstract
KazSTSAT spacecraft launched as part of the SSO-A cluster on 3rd December 2018 has concentrated unusually high degree of novelty in space, ground, and launch segments for a mission that is now becoming an entirely commercial asset. The paper will discuss the background and purpose, followed by first in-orbit results from the truly collaborative mission. The performance of the experimental payloads including the beyond diffraction limit imager and the OBC ARM, as well as the highly innovative virtualized ground segment will be covered together with the lessons learned during the commissioning phase and ground system level tests in a joint team environment.
