    Abstract
    In conjunction with the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11, session D2.9 covers a historical description of Apollo and Saturn V. Mr. Launius has been invited (but not yet confirmed) to present a lecture on the most influential developments of Apollo/Saturn V that impact human spaceflight programs today. We will confirm Mr. Launius is Principal at Launius Historical Services in Washington, DC. He was previously the NASA Chief Historian and the Associate Director for Collections and Curatorial Affairs at the Smithsonian Institution (National Air and Space Museum) in the United States. He is a noted author and lecturer in space history. We will be able to confirm Mr. Launius' acceptance of this invitation shortly.
