    Abstract
The UK Space Agency International Partnership Programme (IPP) is the largest programme of its type in the world. It is developing sustainable satellite-enabled data solutions to make a positive and practical impact on the lives of those living in emerging and developing economies through partnerships with end users in countries to increase their capacity to respond to specific challenges. The programme is fully ODA compliant, being delivered in alignment with UK aid strategy and the United Nations’ UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
IPP spans a whole range of themes; including reducing deforestation, disaster response, land-use monitoring, reducing maritime problems and deploying renewable energy. In all cases satellite data is a key component in the service. The programme is now recognised as a centre of excellence by teams across the international development community.
The paper will describe the programme (currently worth £150M plus matched investments of a further £150M) and the projects that now span 33 countries and involve over 100 organisations. Many of these projects have now reached their midline reviews and so lessons learnt about their development, implementation and likely success or (in some cases) failure will be described. Four specific case studies will also be described that address forestry, disaster management, maritime and agriculture.
