    Abstract
    \begin{center}Following the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) endorsement for UNISPACE+50 resolution which was later adopted by general assembly that year. The resolution called for strengthening international cooperation in the aim of achieving sustainability and global governance of outer space activities. The resolution represents reaffirmation by the global community in the critical role that space can play in attaining the UN sustainable development goals (SDG2030), moreover the needed collaboration and partnerships at all levels to expand the opportunities, maximize and reap the benefits space could provide in this regard.\end{center}
    \begin{center}The UAE government played a significant role in the preparation of the UNISPACE+50 and the development of the above remarkable UN resolution. The continues efforts of the UAE comes from its deep value and recognition of the essence of space and its significant impact on improving daily human lives, and its role in general as driver for socio-economic sustainable development of the country, Arab region,  and the world as a whole.\end{center}
    \begin{center}In this paper, the authors from their practical experience intends to describe the main activities and contributions by the UAE towards the success of the UNISPACE+50 preparations. The paper will also describe the planed efforts by the UAE post the adoption of the resolution and promoting its implementation  at both national and international levels. Last but not least, the paper will describe how the UAE  has developed an approach to measure socio-economic impact of space industry in the UAE.\end{center}
