    Abstract
Moon Gallery is an international collaborative artwork and a gallery of ideas worth sending to the Moon. Moon Gallery intends to launch 100 artifacts to the Moon within the compact format of 10 x 10 x 1cm plate on a lunar lander as early as 2022. In this multi-case tray gallery we are developing culture for future interplanetary society. What are the ideas we want to promote into the future? What are the ideas we want to leave behind?

Moon Gallery as a pilot platform within the framework of the Moon Village, EuroMoonMars & ILEWG aims to instigate inspiration for the global space exploration and demonstrate how the challenges along this journey drive innovative design thinking and interdisciplinary collaborations. Art Moon Mars collective leads this project, coordinates events and develops content through a series of open calls.

Moon Gallery outreach campaigns, think tank sessions have been conducted in ESA/ESTEC, Pulchri The Hague, Royal Academy of Art the Hague, ISU International Space University Delft, Iceland Academy of Arts, Dutch Science Weekend, Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam.

A selection of 25 submitted to Moon Gallery artworks and artifacts was exhibited in ESTEC and Space Expo Museum Noordwijk. Submissions vary from painting and sculpture to synthetic biological experiments and scientific artifacts. From 9 to 14 April 2019 Moon Gallery will participate in Salone del Mobile Milano as a part of Ventura Future. From 17 June to 3 July 2019 Moon Gallery will be exhibited in Zermatt, Switzerland, as a part of IGLUNA, the ESA Lab demonstrator pilot project lead by Swiss Space Center (SSC).

We participate in EuroMoonMars activities with designers & artists expanding awareness of MoonMars benefits to the society at large. This research can benefit Science, Exploration and Application programs.

The presentation at IAC will cover overall Moon Gallery concept, open call and overview of submitted projects, description of the milestones reached, results from the exhibitions and workshops, and the next steps towards the implementation of the actual gallery on the Moon.
