- Abstract
This presentation will provide an overview about critical issues related to hiring and setting up a human resource department. The results are based on personal interviews with recruiters and founders. Additional, the presentation will describe various hiring methods and tools, related to the startups current stage. A main focus will be on pre-funding and early stage / seed funding startups. Some references to other industries as well as risk mitigation approaches will be included. The goal is to give startups recruiting schema and to raise awareness about hiring as a critical success factor. In addition, the results can help mitigate risks for Venture Capital and other funding institutions. This paper is a part of the ongoing workforce development research by Catalyze Space, first presented as paper IAC-18,E1,5,4,x44101.
