Are we alone? People’s perception on an ExoWorld, its planet and possible life on it

- Abstract
If we look at the media outlet, stories related to the alien life might be the most read as people are curious to know are there life outside earth, in our solar system or even in ExoWorld. In 2019, we organized Name ExoWorld Campaign where we asked people to propose and vote for the name of a planet and its star known that lies in a constellation of Leo. This paper will present our strategy to engage people in the campaign, people’s perception about the system and their queries about the possibilities of life in the planet around a host star HD100777, known as Sagarmatha, during the campaign in 2019. Similarly, this paper will present the challenges we faced to explain and convince people at our Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to endorse the campaign as a part of National Science Day 2019 celebration. It will share the results of the online survey to see people’s perception or expectation of the extraterrestrial intelligence in the planet HD100777b known as Laligurans.
