- Abstract
The participation of women around the world has become relevant when talking about STEM issues. This Network, which is called "Mexican Women in Space" is focused on providing means for girls and women to develop their skills in the scientific field. The network has 4 main lines of work: 1.- CREATION OF SEEDBED OF SPACE PROJECTS, this has the intention of generating alliances with research centers, teachers or interested researchers. This will allow them to advise and guide the development of STEM ideas or proposals for women and girls interested in learning. 2.-THE INCLUSION IN THE TRANSMISSION OF KNOWLEDGE OF SPACE SCIENCES AND ACCESS TO THIS. This point deals with 2 sectors,which are currently a minority in the country. People who have a disability with visual, hearing or learning limitations. Teaching through sign language and braille will be implemented Groups of indigenous women, who present limitations for access to learning and the insufficiency of educational material in their dialect. Due to this, we are going to created material in different dialects for easy dissemination and teaching. 3.-IMPLEMENTATION OF OBJECTIVE 17 OF THE 2030 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT SCHEDULE (SDG) ESTABLISHED BY THE ORGANIZATION OF UNITED NATIONS By establishing agreements with institutions, agencies, state governments, researchers and research centers, companies, agencies and schools, it will be possible to enhance training and make space sciences accessible to all. 4.-PSYCHOLOGICAL ORIENTATION AND HELP MORE ACCESSIBLE FOR WOMEN. It is estimated that, in the world population, there is a greater number of incidents of depression in the female gender more than in men. This is why we seek to be able to provide and make the opportunity for help more accessible. There is no group or network in the country that is focused on offering opportunities for development, growth and learning space sciences exclusively for women and girls, in order to attack the main barriers that make the participation of women a minority. Also the existence of a group that focuses on making space science knowledge accessible to indigenous people and people with disabilities is unknown. Emphasizing in the same way, that there are few science groups that include the inclusion of psychological help for better performance in the STEM area. This network has a clear mission to create, expand and offer opportunities, in order to increase the participation of women in space sciences and to contribute to space research inside or outside the country.
