- Abstract
The Moon Village – Participation of Emerging space countries (MV-PESC) project aims to involve developing countries in moon activities. The PESC project is a capacity building program that support teams to create a roadmap for their country. This roadmap involves many elements that describe how a particular developing country can be involved in moon activities. The PESC project can be seen as a major contribution by the MVA for a sustainable and fair access to the moon including the utilization of lunar resources. As in February 2023, 11 teams from 11 different countries submitted roadmaps and active to achieve the roadmaps in reality. In addition to describing the PESC project and the content of the 11 roadmaps, this paper presents a survey result completed by the participating teams and the wider MVA members community from Emerging Space Countries. This survey explores the likely future scenarios and strategies for developing countries in moon activities. The survey doesn’t necessarily represent the view of a country’s space agency, unless otherwise mentioned. Therefore, the results of the survey represent a broad range of interests and backgrounds. The survey was conducted in the past 2 years, and the PESC project is continuing this survey for the third year in 2023.
