    Abstract
As almost all the activities related to space science opportunities in Kathmandu, the country’s capital have resulted in the deprivation of opportunities for students outside the city. Among its 3 pillars namely Outreach, Education, and Research, Secondary-level space education and outreach programs have been a major focus area of the Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) in recent times to foster the scientific temper among young minds in Nepal. Secondary-level students are getting multiple opportunities to engage and broaden their knowledge and understanding of space through programs like the NASA International Space Apps Challenge, World Space Week, Cubes in Space, Stargazing sessions, and many more.

This paper will deal with the study of the outcomes of NASO’s secondary-level space education and outreach programs which have empowered the students of the Municipal Child Club Network to contemplate the current scenario of the Nepali space sector and lobby for the inclusion of space policy at different forums and levels of government in Province No. 1. This paper will also discuss the approach of the students lobbying for the state ownership of the Nepali space industry, their experiences, and the challenges faced during the process from the eastern city called Biratnagar.
