- Abstract
This paper presents a comprehensive small satellite design program aimed at fostering space education for undergraduate students in Azerbaijan. The program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the development of small satellites and bridge the gap in space education opportunities in the country. The program includes theoretical lectures and exercises along with practical components such as laboratory and coursework, covering mission planning, spacecraft and system design, launch vehicle, and ground segment. It is designed to be highly interactive, with students working in teams to design, build, and test their own small satellite imitations using easily accessible parts. The implementation of this program is expected to result in a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities in small satellite design and development among Azerbaijani students and foster a strong sense of community among students from different backgrounds. The planned implementation of the program demonstrates Azerbaijan's commitment to fostering space education in the country. By providing hands-on learning opportunities and fostering collaboration among students, this program will help to build a strong foundation for the future of space education and research in Azerbaijan. This work provides a concise overview of the planned implementation of the comprehensive small satellite design program, which is expected to provide Azerbaijani students with valuable hands-on experience in the development of small satellites and contribute to the growth of the country's space education and research.
