- Abstract
At the Universidad Nacional Tecnológica de Lima Sur (UNTELS) in Peru, one does not have an undergraduate program in space engineering; moreover, there is no undergraduate program in aerospace engineering at any Peruvian university. However, there is a growing interest in space issues. , especially by students of related programs such as electronic and telecommunications engineering, electrical and mechanical engineering and systems engineering. The interest is not only on the part of the students but also on the part of the teachers. In this sense, the research group Aerospace Sciences & Health Research Laboratory (INCAS-Lab) was created in 2018, first informally only meeting those interested in space issues and already receiving official recognition by resolution this 2023. Since 2018, INCAS-Lab has published 41 scientific articles, of which 40 are indexed in SCOPUS (database of international prestige). It is expected that INCAS-Lab will continue to grow, welcome all those interested in space technology, and contribute to human knowledge through research on space issues.
