- Abstract
Prof. Emeritus Masali, at over 90 years of age, is still very active in Space research. His contributions over the years have brought much to the field, through the history and evolution of new disciplines such as Space Anthropology, Space Anthropometry, Ergonomics, and Human Factors applying to Space. Over the time, he has led many projects for Space Stations, beginning with Mir and continuing through ISS. Prof. Masali’s passion for Space began when he was a child during the period of the Second World War; pictures of Moon Bases that he drew close to a century ago are incredibly close to the designs that are actually being considered today for Moon exploration. His presence as guest of this lecture to IAC would be a truly unique experience, as one of the oldest active professors specialised in Space, his wealth of knowledge and experience will give the newest generation of professionals the chance to interact with someone that has been there from the very start of Outer Space exploration.
