- Abstract
The pasty propellant motor is a new propulsion system, and will be well applied in attitude control and orbit transfer of space aerocraft. In this paper, based on the experimental result of the ignition and combustion characteristic of pasty propellant, and analyzing the temperature field of three kinds of spray head, the prinple motor was designed which had function of multiple-start and variable thrust. This motor included the pressing propellant device、the electric conical valve、the spray head、the original ignition device、the chamber and the nuzzle. In this verification test, re-start was six , and thrust variation was three. In course of motor working, the motor burned steadily and the motor restarted promptly. From the experiment result, we can conclude that the multiple-start and variable thrust of pasty propellant motor is practicability.
