- Abstract
In recent years, the rocket which can meet lower cost and achieve more various missions is required in the satellite launch market. For cost reduction, one of the most effective approaches is to launch two or more satellites simultaneously. The key technologies of rocket engines for launching several satellites on each ideal orbit efficiently are the multi-ignition and the wide-range thrust operation. Moreover, these technologies will provide the possibility to carry out the various missions such as making several satellites operate in concert or rendezvous with another satellite in one mission. In this paper, the up-grade of the current upper-stage engine was examined for getting these technologies with revaluation of current mechanical, fluid and thermal control system.
