    Abstract
Standards for life support systems in space crafts are reviewed and good design proposals are asserted. The Mars cycler orbiter is described as a compliant example of proposed design for the protection and advancement of life in long term space flight. The award winning “First Wonder of the Off World” is utilized as the example for comment. The special problem of in situ resources utilization is addressed under space treaty standards and space industry requirements.
