    Abstract
The very important mission of lunar exploration is to detect the distribution of soil and minerals on the moon surface. The infrared Fourier Transfer Spectrometer (IRFTS) based on lunar lander is a useful tool and effectively approach to explore the spectrum of the soil and minerals which reflect their composition and structure. The application of hyper-spectral IRFTS will bring us more information about moon.
In the paper, the spectral feature of the lunar soil and minerals is analyzed and the requirement of the mini-IRFTS is proposed. Due to limit of mass, size and power consumption, as payload of lunar lander, it is essential to design a mini instrument to meet with requirement of satellite bus. Meanwhile, preliminary design of mini-interferometer for in-situ measurements on rovers or landers is completed.
