    Abstract
Examples from orbit tell that the small debris has made serious damage to the windows of the spacecrafts such as space shuttle, space station and so on. The designed life for ISS is 15 years and the structure designed for the windows has changed. And, the change of out window is influenced not only by the mechanical damage of the debris impact, but also by the decrease of the glass transmittance. We use debris driven by laser instrument to simulate the chip impact to the window glass; and use OLS3000 laser sacn confocal microscope to get the geometric character of the crater; and discuss how the different part of the crater contribute to the change of transmittance. Then we will give the rough calculation to the influence of the window transmittance by large amout of impacts.
