- Abstract
Communications between the spacecrafts distinguish from the ones in the terrestrial case. Firstly, communication ‘nodes’ are in high speed motion on the orbit. From the geometry view, the ‘lines’ between these ‘nodes’ are constantly changing with length and direction. Secondly, the link propagation characteristic through the ‘line’ is also variation according to the space environment and working frequency band. In this article, a link budget analysis will be introduced base on TDRSS (Tracking Date Relay Satellite System) and formation satellites as mobile nodes.
