- Abstract
In order to solve the interference between Ku, Ka band transponders in high-capacity communication satellites, isolation between transponders should be increased. One way is that low-pass filter(LPF) with improved stop-band performance is used before receiver of up-link in Ku band transponder. Double-ridged waveguide and corrugated waveguide LPFs are presented and compared, and two LPFs are designed and realized respectively. The measured data show that double-ridged waveguide LPF having much wider stop-band, it can improve the isolation between Ku, Ka band transponder in communication satellites.
