    Abstract
At the end of 2005 ESA and EADS ST (now ASTRIUM Space Transportation) have signed the first service contract for the industrialization of the European ISS operations.

This contract marked the implementation of the High Level Commitment done by a pool of European industries lead by ASTRIUM ST and Alcatel Alenia Space – Italy (AAS-I).

ESA placed with industry a single service contract to provide end-to-end operations services according to a set of performance, process, product and quality of service requirements. The management of the individual operations tasks and the interfaces between them as well as the overall operations integration is then carried out by industry. In this context, ESA still carries out its role of overall programme management and in particular manages the interfaces with the ISS Partners and with the Users/USOCs while ensuring coordination and optimisation of operations tasks allocation between USOCs and the industrial operations contractor.

This paper will report on the organisastion of the industrial services activities, their interfaces to the Agency and International Partners.

Achievements from the first year of operations will be reported and an outlook of the forthcoming activities will be provided. Special emphasis will be given to the preparation of the Columbus launch in increment 16, its commissioning and initial operations.
