    Abstract
The FPW experiments of 2A14 aluminum alloy and defected-TIG-welding were investigated. The influence of FPW parameters of friction press, friction time and feeding speed on joint properties were analyzed. The results indicate that the FPW welding grain was smaller than the base metal and the heat affected zone is much narrower. The maximum tensile strength of the joint can reach 360Mpa as much as 80 percent of the base metal. The fracture analysis shows that the fracture mode of the joints is ductile fracture.
