    Abstract
The following paper presents a simulation tool for radiation testing developed under the SSETI European Student Earth Orbiter (SSETI ESEO) for the RADMEM payload, which will measure Single Event Effects on memory chips.

MEMSim is a software developed for radiation testing on hardware, simulating soft errors on processors or memories. The software is run on a computer. As an input parameters, the user introduces orbital parameters. The software extracts the radiation data from the European database SPENVIS and interfaces the subsystem to be tested via JTAG, causing the soft errors determined by the calculated radiation parameters. In addition, the simulation can be run in real time or accelerated time. By starting the simulation, the program extracts the radiation parameters in points of the orbit determined by the user.

This tool appears as a step in between the paper work and the current radiation testing facilities, making possible many hardware tests without cost before a real radiation test, usually quite expensive.
