- Abstract
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis refers to a scheduled-maintenance program designed to realize the inherent reliability capabilities of equipment, this method is towards to control of reliability through an analysis of the factors that affect reliability and provide a system of actions to improve low reliability levels. The objective of this paper is to develop a decision support strategy for preventive maintenance of satellite ground equipment based on the concept of RCM, identify the set of functionally or structure significant items, perform failure modes, effects and criticality analysis (FMECA), determine preventive maintenance types by logic decision and establish preventive maintenance strategy. This preventive maintenance strategy is expected to be more cost effective than the traditional approaches.
