- Abstract
The subscription of a satellite purchasing contract usually requests for proper training on the satellite, and most developing countries are eager to expand their space industry through this kind of training. But most satellite suppliers only offer the training at user’s guide level. So nowadays, how to build a perfect training structure to fulfill the customers’ requirement is an urgent task for all the education organizations. Shenzhou Institute, CAST, just finished a successful training like this kind which has been greatly recognized by the customer and trainees. That is NIGCOMSAT-1 professional training, which was carried out complied with the NIGCOMSAT-1 project. Making emphasis on satellite design principle, it makes the trainees understand and operate NIGCOMSAT-1. The structure of professional training is theoretical training plus on-job training plus TrainSat virtual design training. These 3 parts are integral parts of the training project. Theoretical training lays a solid foundation for trainees. On-job training gives them chance to have a concrete and clear view of NIGCOMSAT-1. TrainSat virtual design training helps trainees systematically grasp what they learnt and put into practice. By finishing this professional training, we has gained a lot of teaching and managing experience, drawn many lessons. As a result, we considerably optimized the customer training system. One of the rules to carry out the professional training successfully is to fully respect the customer’s race and religion. Our efforts will make the training system more attracting until perfect. China is aiming at helping developing countries like Nigeria to develop their own space industry. In the process of our cooperation, we will share technologies, recourses and talents to make mutual benefit.
