    Abstract
Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC) is a non-governmental organization created at the UNISPACE III conference (the Third United Nations Conference on the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space) as a consultative mechanism to facilitate the continued participation of young people in cooperative space-related activities. The SGAC holds permanent observer status in the UN COPUOS and is a member of the International Astronautical Federation (IAF).

Since its inception in 1999, SGAC has hosted several events, projects, and meetings with the intent of providing youth a place to actively discuss, take part in, and contribute to space activities as well as educating the world about the benefits of space. No matter what method is used to measure success, SGAC has achieved success thus far through its events and a 3,000 member global network. SGAC is in the process of expanding its activities in order to provide greater input from the global youth on the issues of space. The success of the past events, meetings, and activities is summarised and plans for future activities are shared in an effort to raise dialogue to further increase the reach and success of the Space Generation.
