    Abstract
The increasing flow of goods that pass from one state to another, and the need of economic actors to access commercial credit to finance their operations present a new scenario with great variety of garantees.
UNIDROIT faced the study of garantees and "The Cape Town Convention on International Interests in Mobile Equipment" was adopted by the States in 2001. A "Preliminary Draft Protocol on Matters Specific to Space Assets" is being prepared under UNIDROIT`s auspices.
An International Registry is a cornerstone of this new system because it would allow creditors to have centralized the information related to their security interest.
Currently the United Nations Registry exists under the Registration Convention, 1974. In this sense, two questions arise: How will the Registry proposed by UNIDROIT be? Which will the resemblances and differences between both registries be? The aim of this presentation will be to answer the questions posed according to the following structure: 1) Introduction 2)United Nations Registry 3) The task of UNIDROIT and the Proposed International Registry 4) Conclusions.
This paper will be prepared thanks to a scholarship awarded by UNIDROIT and Universidad Argentina de la Empresa.
