    Abstract
This paper presents the EPS (Electrical Power Subsystem) of STSAT-3 (Science and Technology SATellite -3). The development of STSAT-3 is managed by Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and sponsored by Republic of Korea. It is small satellite which is aimed to research space/earth science. Each mission is accomplished by MIRIS (Multi-purpose InfraRed Imaging System) and COMIS (COMpact Imaging Spectrometer) payloads, respectively. Thought the system power requirement is dependant on mission phase, it goes around 150W. This paper shows the energy balance calculation of STSAT-3 which includes the power requirement of each subsystem, power rating with different mission phase, one day energy balance, solar array power rating, battery capacity requirement and other important considerations. Therefore, while guaranteeing adequate operational power, it shows the most efficient calculation of required power which minimize the mass and size of solar array and battery. And also, the overall concept of EPS architecture, which is the most adequate to small satellite, is addressed.
