    Abstract
This paper analyses the effectiveness of (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) SETI@home module that is implemented in Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing (BOINC). The pros and cons of utilizing a remote server in order to perform calculation and computation for same have been elucidated. The ethical question is also raised wherein whether a user should get an access and information regarding what sort of computation is taking place in his/her terminal. The worthiness of data analyzed and its credibility is also scrutinized. The computation architecture already in use has also been examined and a review of same has also been performed. Since no discoveries have happened using the existing infrastructure so far, it has also been examined that whether running this project for future generation will be a right decision or not.
