    Abstract
New satellite technologies will provide unprecedented connectivity to all parts of the globe, enabling governments and private enterprises to tackle the fundamental world challenges addressed by the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Challenges to connectivity remain despite enormous technological advances over the last 50 years. Better connectivity enables education, information flow, health care, financial transactions, and all manner of government services. Only space-based technology will reach every part of the globe, with the broadband capacity and speeds to perform the interactive two-way communications necessary for today's world. Case studies can be presented.
