- Abstract
Yuzhnoye State Design Office specialists have developed a project of an intended for launch vehicle first stages RD815 main liquid rocket engine with a sea level thrust of ~250 tf. The engine operates on LOX+kerosene propellants and utilizes a closed cycle. Experimental fire tests of a demonstrator unit are being undertaken to verify the technical solutions, applied in the design of one of key engine units – the preburner. The report presents an overview of carried out works and RD815 engine preburner demonstrator test results.
