    Abstract
As per the UAE federal decrees no. 1 of 2014, the UAE Space Agency has the mandate of overseeing and promoting the country’s space sector and activities. Under such mandate the agency is responsible for development of the so-called National Space Framework consisting of four main components; namely the Space Policy, Space Strategy, Space Law, and Space Regulations.

In 2016, the agency launched the National Space Policy, which states clearly the UAE principles and ambitions in its space program. The Policy simply said has focused on why the UAE is investing in space and what is the ultimate goal, but not much on how to reach there.

In March 2019 following the Cabinet approval, the agency launched the National Space Strategy-2030, which translates the principles and ambitions in the Policy into a set of national programs and initiatives to be implemented by the UAE Space Sector by the year 2030. In other words the strategy focuses more on the How to get to the Policy Ultimate Goal.

The overall vision of the National Space Strategy-2030 is that “The UAE to be among the most advanced and pioneering countries in space field”.

In this paper, the Author intends to share the practical and very recent experience of the UAE in developing its National Space Strategy-2030; in particular sharing the methodology and the main outcomes from local and international studies that contributed into crafting this important national document.

Moreover, the paper will provide description of the Strategy main chapters, and more importantly will shed-light on how the UAE 26 Programs and 79 Initiatives under National Space Strategy-2030 are structured around the following two main pillars:
    -	Maximize benefits from space
    -	Sustain growth of space sector
