    Abstract

From the late 90s, EADS Astrium has started to propose technical cooperation programmes to accompany its satellite or space system offers. Such cooperations are considered by EADS Astrium as opportunities to create strong links and a long term partnerships with international customers. The proposed cooperation starts with on a optimized mixture of academic and professional training to create a common working environment. It continues with an intense phase of co-engineering where the Customer team is 100The cooperation can also be complemented with an industrial perspective, such as local manufacturing of satellite equipment, implementation of a satellite AIT centre, performance of the satellite/system integration at the customer premises, implementation of a user centre, focused on services to the Customer’s scientific community (e.g. trough development of specific applications), commercialization of excess images, etc… This winning strategy can be demonstrated by the recent EADS Astrium success on the Earth Observation accessible export market.
